Back-to-School is just around the corner–if you didn't start already–, and to me, it’s a time when I begin to regret all the things I said I would but didn’t do, while getting excited for all the new things I want to implement in the new year.
These include new resource creation and marketing strategies, like the ones I learned during my first TPT Forward 2019 Conference in Austin, which I loved, new educational tips and best practices I learned during that conference and also at the Bilingual Educators Virtual Summit where I had the honor to present (you can still access those 20 online sessions with a VIP Pass here), classroom decor and organization, and… new teacher wardrobe!
I haven’t blogged about my weight loss journey, but to make a long story short, my back gave me a BIG scare back in February that made me miss over a week of school, and my doctors told me I had to lose weight. So in March, I started the ketogenic lifestyle, and haven’t stopped since. I’ve lost over 40 lbs., which means that most of my Stitch Fix clothes don’t fit me now! I have been able to get back into some old clothes I love, so I’m not complaining. Plus, I’m feeling great!
Well, what is a cheap way to get new clothes that are cute for the new year? Of course, teacher tees! I must admit I have very few of them still. The truth is I was never a t-shirt girl, but after seeing how much cleverness, color, fun–and may I say so, chicness– you can put into one, I was sold!
